Introduction The basic idea behind formatted file and folder names is that you can give your data and report files names which convey information about when the file was created, and what logger it came from. You can similarly store the files in folders that are organized by date or by logger serial number. Finally, you can incorporate numerous other variables into your file and folder names, including such things as:
•a unique sequence number •the timezone name •the timezone offset •the Windows logged-in user name •Windows environment variables •data extracted from the logger data set, such as the maximum temperature, or the number of samples taken.
